Theresa Ann Burnett-Harris was born April 28, 1946, to the union of William P. Burnett and Norah Gilchrist in the city of River Rouge, Michigan.

Theresa attended Eas Catholic Elementary and High School graduating in 1963. She continued her education throughout her life obtaining an Associates degree in General Studies becoming a paralegal. She also earned multiple certifications in various fields including mental health, grant writing and was also a notary public.

Theresa had a deep passion for the homeless population in Detroit and was known to aid them in any way she could. She worked for Cass Community Social Service, a member of the street outreach team and was known to meet the individual where they were, that could've been on a street comer or even under a viaduct.

Theresa formed the non-profit organization, Celestial Flight NHC, over two decades ago and was an active participant in the organization until her recent home-going.

Theresa loved gardening and had an outstanding landscape style of her own with the most beautiful lawn on her block. If you were to judge Theresa by her behavior, you would not have ever known that she was ill, she rarely complained. She was the first up and out in the morning watering the grass or tending to her flowers/bushes and the first one taking her trash bin to the curb on trash day. Theresa was very active for her age and was full of zest, energy and determination until her last breath was taken. May God give you rest.

Theresa's husband, Ralph Harris; parents, William P. Burnett and Norah Hall; Aunt Mertis Peacock; Uncle Thomas Peacock; great aunts, Helen Gaines and Beaulah Russell; and Cousin Mayola Hicks. preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her 10 loving and precious memory: daughter, Kimlin (wife, Chase) Kennedy; son, Claude (Melissa) Da is III' seven grandchildren, Natasha, Candis, Rosieleta, James Jr., Lexus. Jasia. and Jernea; sixteen great grandchildren, Tahja, Isabella, Madison, Mareino. KJ. James III, Da'Mya, Noelle, Major, Malachi, Zyon, Milan, Malaysia, Adres, Onyx and Jahzara; one great-great
grandchild, Charlston; a host of nephews. nieces, family and friends.
