Charles Anthony Wright

Charles Anthony Wright, 61, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on August 5, 2022, and was born on February 4, 1961, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Charles was born on February 4th 1961 to Agnes and Charles wright Senior. Charles was a vibrant humorous and athletic child who loved hanging out with friends. He was educated in the Detroit public school system and attended School in the Los Angeles public School district as well. Charles had a special bond with his maternal grandmother Edna Haynes. He loved visiting her. After high school Charles made the decision to serve our country through the act of duty in the United States Marine Corp.

The entrepreneurial bug bit Charles at an early age. His excitement about the freedom and flexibility business ownership gave them became a central theme for his life. Charles explored entrepreneurial ventures for real estate to network marketing to being a independent multimedia vendor and more over the last 40 years.

Although Charles had a lot of success with his business ventures his greatest legacy was being a father. Charles always wanted a big family and became both a dad and bonus dad to many. His first child Charles (Chucky) Antonio Hubbard-Wright was born to his Union with Janice Hubbard. Charles's family expanded with his marriage to Stephanie Bradford to include son Contel and daughters, Sharika and Ashley. Stephanie and Jen is Bonnie quickly and work together to address Chucky's special needs. Later Charles fell in love with Joyce Rogers and expanding his family with the addition of two beautiful daughters Danielle and Chantel.  Joyce was very helpful and supportive with Stephanie became a new mom again. At the time of his death Charles was married to his longtime love Latonya Cleary. Charles became a father figure to Ciera, Ebony, Antwain, Nateyah, Natiah, Josuah through this union. The most beautiful thing of all is the love and harmonious bond that exists between this large family Charles was a proud papa who beamed with joy at his children's weddings and graduations he also enjoyed being a grandfather.

Charles's Love of music impacted everyone who knew him he was knowledgeable of so many genres of music and developed in a sense of music collection over his lifetime. Charles love to have deep conversations with a cigar a glass of wine and some classic jams playing the background. He will be dearly missed by his family including his loving wife Latonya Cleary his children: Contel (Lisa) Bradford, Shekiera (Brandon) bright, Ashley Wright (Michael), Danielle (Antwon Jr.) Sales, Chantel Wright, Ciera Washington, Ebony Cleary, Antwain Cleary, Nateyah Cleary, Natiah Cleary, and Joshua Washington. Charles son, Charles (Chucky); his father Charles Wright Sr.; his siblings, Darnella Gaye Wright, Evita Wright, Brandon Wright and Charles (Chucky) Wright. His son Anthony Hubbard-Wright (2011), Mother, Agnes Wright (2021), and step-brother Edwardo Griffin (1992) proceed him in death. Charles' memory will also be cherished by his twelve grandchildren as well as a host of relatives, extended family and friends.
