Celebrating The Life Of

Albert Joseph Washington, Jr.

SUNRISE: DECEMBER 15, 1966 - SUNSET: OCTOBER 6, 2024

Albert Joseph Washington Jr. was born on December 15, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, to the proud parents Rosie Mae Washington and Albert Joseph Washington Sr. Growing up in a loving and tight-knit family, Albert developed a strong sense of loyalty and dedication that would remain with him throughout his life. He attended Kettering High School, where he made many lasting friendships and was known for his athleticism, playing football for the school team. Albert's passion for sports, especially football, began at a young age and would shape much of his life's joy. After graduating in 1984, Albert's life took a new and exciting turn when he met the love of his life, Renee L. Jackson. The two were married on March 22, 1986, beginning a journey together that would span decades. Albert was blessed with five children: Albert Joseph Washington III, Tanisha Washington, Victor Jackson, Donovan Washington, and Marion King. Albert embraced fatherhood with immense pride and love, guiding his children with wisdom and a sense of purpose. He worked at Strictly Sportswear for over 10 years, where he was known for his dedication and hard work, becoming a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike.

Albert's love for sports never waned, and he was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, cheering them on since he was a young man. Whether it was watching a game, talking about the latest football news, or sharing his knowledge with friends and family, Albert's enthusiasm was contagious. His infectious laughter and warm smile were his trademarks, and he had a special way of making everyone around him feel welcomed and appreciated. Gatherings with Albert were filled with joy, and his presence could light up any room. On his passing, Albert leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family.

He is survived by his children, his grandchildren Kameron Washington and Donovan Washington Jr., his beloved aunt Louise Everette, and a host of cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. Albert's unwavering love for his family, his passion for sports, and his joyful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
